Christmas Party

On Tuesday, 17 December, instead of an Grand Ole Orpy session, we will be putting together a Christmas Party with guest musicians who don’t yet know they have been carefully selected. No we don’t know either! But watch out for updates on this website and the Johnny-come-lately  email and a report from our Israel news correspondent.

October Showcase

On Saturday, 26 October we are hosting an Autumn showcase with an array of talent. Tickets are just £5 on the night – first come, first serve!

Civil Minds Reunion

After a 14 year gap, part of the Civil Minds group were reunited at OF&B on Tuesday, 8 October and included “This Land Is Your Land” and “Me and Bobby Magee” in their set that was put together in a 15 minute rehearsal!

The Spinners Legends return

On Friday, 8 August 2019, The Spinners Legends returned to Orpington Liberal Club once again to a sell-out audience. There are plenty of videos available via Facebook on The Spinners UK (folk band) group.

FAB Visit

Finch House in Orpington High Street closed in late 2018 but re-opened in February under new management . Orpington Folk & Blues provided an afternoon’s entertainment on Thursday, 7 March with #Hashtag, Frankie and Jenny, Orpy String Band and Frankie and Johnny giving mini sets as below:

 

 

Christmas Showcase Update

Santino Fabbricatore and his friends are to play at our sell out special Christmas event that is a ticket event only but includes mince pies and a mulled wine.

Support is provided by the Orpy String Band and #Hashtag plus Frank Bigham is up from Cornwall to host the event. Remember the early start at 19.30. See our Blog Page for a report on a sensational evening.

The Spinners Legends

In association with Orpington Liberal Club, the Spinners Legends (Hughie Jones, Mick Groves and ace bass “Count” John McCormick performed on Saturday, 8 September.

It was a full house with over 75 people crammed into the hall to witness classics such as Black and White, Family of Man, Dirty Old Town and The Leaving of Liverpool.
